A Message From The Chapter President

As we begin the 2025/2026 ASHRAE Society Year, I extend my sincere appreciation to each of you for your dedication to advancing the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Your commitment and expertise remain the foundation of our collective success.

This year, our vision is anchored on collaboration, capacity building, and strengthening our chapter’s presence as we continue shaping a resilient and sustainable built environment. Here are the key initiatives guiding us in the 2025/2026 Society Year:

  1. Collaborating with Stakeholders in the Building Industry:

We will engage more deeply with key players in the building industry to promote innovation and integrated solutions that support sustainable development. These partnerships will allow us to align our work with the broader needs of the built environment in Ghana.

  1. Reducing Post-Harvest Losses through Strategic Partnerships:

In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, we will continue supporting initiatives aimed at reducing post-harvest losses in Ghana. This effort underscores our commitment to applying HVAC&R expertise beyond traditional spaces, driving positive impact in agriculture and food security.

3. Promoting ASHRAE Certification Courses for Young Engineers:

To empower the next generation, we will promote ASHRAE certification courses, raising awareness among young engineers about the opportunities these programmes offer. By encouraging participation, we aim to enhance technical competence and professional recognition in our industry.

4. Public Lectures on Healthy Buildings:

We seek to host a series of public lectures focused on healthy buildings, highlighting how HVAC systems can improve indoor air quality, occupant health, and overall well-being. These sessions will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing and raising awareness about the critical role of our industry in creating healthier spaces

5. Establishing a Chapter Secretariat:

To support our growing activities and strengthen our operational efficiency, we will work towards establishing an office for the chapter secretariat. This will provide a dedicated space for administration, member engagement, and collaboration.
