Mr. Richard Baah Asare
Chapter President
Richard Baah Asare has nearly 20 years of experience in HVAC-R, including HVAC design, transport refrigeration, and project management. He heads the HVAC Installation and Service Department at Atlantic Climate Control Ltd., overseeing residential, commercial, and industrial systems. A member of ASHRAE since 2019, Richard has served as Secretary, Treasurer, President-Elect and Board Member for ASHRAE Ghana and is currently the Chapter President. His interests include HVAC design, indoor environmental quality, and energy efficiency. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Phil. in Industrial Mathematics from KNUST and is a PMP-Certified member of the Project Management Institute and the Ghana Institution of Engineering.
Mr. Wilberforce Bekoe
Chapter President-Elect
Wilberforce Botwe Bekoe is the Managing Director and joint owner of Airnet Ltd., with nearly 29 years of experience in the HVAC industry. He specializes in the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems. W.B Bekoe is skilled in after-sales service and holds a First Class Refrigeration Engineers Certificate of Competency. He is a Master’s Degree graduate in Building Services Engineering from Brunel University, London. Ing Bekoe is a former Board Member of the ASHRAE Ghana Chapter and currently serves as the Chapter’s President-Elect. He is also a Board Member of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers Association of Ghana.
Mr Kwasi Owusu Amoah
Chapter Treasurer
Mr. Owusu Kay Amoah is a professional mechanical engineer with over 25 years of experience in building services design, capital plant replacement, technical due diligence, asset inspections, and feasibility studies. He provides technical leadership in mechanical services, managing project delivery, mentoring engineers, and ensuring sustainable, energy-efficient solutions. His expertise spans HVAC system design, development monitoring, and planned asset replacement, with a strong focus on passive design, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.
Mr. Theophilus Aryee Armah
Chapter Secretary
Ing. Theophilus Armah is a dedicated Mechanical Building Services Engineer with 20 years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial and industrial projects. As a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering and one Holding a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc. in Building Services Engineering, his interest has been in energy-efficient solutions that enhance building performance and sustainability. As the current Vice president and the chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of the Ghana Chapter, he is committed to advancing industry standards through innovative design and collaboration. Theophilus is also a Lawyer with particular interest in using Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms to settle disputes.
Mr. Calvin Bruce-Attuquayefio
Chapter Vice President
Calvin Bruce Attuquayefio is a distinguished Mechanical Engineer specialising in Building Services Engineering, with extensive expertise in the design, installation, and optimisation of HVAC&R systems. He serves as the Chapter Technology Transfer Committee (CTTC) Chair for the ASHRAE Ghana Chapter (2026–2027 Society Year), where he leads initiatives to advance technical knowledge transfer and promote global industry best practices across West Africa.
Professionally, Calvin is a Director at Unique Josap Engineering Limited, where he delivers high-performance engineering solutions for complex built environments. A recognised leader in the region, he is a Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE), reflecting a deep commitment to engineering excellence and professional mentorship. Through his roles with ASHRAE and GhIE, Calvin is dedicated to bridging global technical standards with sustainable, localised engineering practices to shape the future of building services.
Mr. Samuel Asiedu

Mr. Samuel Asiedu is a manager at the Central Bank of Ghana working in the Corporate management and Services Department (CMSD).
Ing. Dr. Kwame Owusu-Achaw
Chapter BoG
Dr. Kwame Owusu-Achaw is a refrigeration expert with 47 years of experience and a former President of ASHRAE Ghana (2023/24). As Principal Consultant at RAM Engineering Ltd., he specialises in building services, cold storage systems, energy audits, and sustainable refrigeration under the Montreal Protocol. He holds a Ph.D. in Refrigeration Engineering from NTNU, Norway, and is a Senior Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering.
Ing. Dr. Patrick Ata
Chapter BoG
Dr. Patrick Ata has nearly 30 years of experience in the HVAC and electricity distribution sectors and is the Managing Director of Atlantic International Holding Company (AIHCL), a leading engineering contracting firm in Accra, Ghana. A member of ASHRAE since 1992, he serves on the Board of Governors of the Ghana Chapter. He is passionate about indoor air quality, thermal comfort, energy efficiency, decarbonization, and renewable energy. Patrick holds degrees from Bristol University, King’s College London, and University College London, and is a member of the Ghana Institute of Engineers and a board member of the African Futures Institute.
Ing. Dr. Patricia Kwakye-Boateng

Ms. Patricia Kwakye-Boateng is a lecturer and academic counsellor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Accra Technical University, specialising in HVAC and sustainable energy systems. She is dedicated to guiding students toward academic and professional success and plays a key role as the Student Activity Chair for the ASHRAE Ghana Chapter. Patricia promotes student involvement in ASHRAE activities and has been instrumental in establishing the student branch at Accra Technical University, fostering future leaders in the HVAC&R industry.
Mr. Joseph Ainguah

Joseph William Ainguah is a Building Services Engineer with over 28 years of experience in engineering design, project supervision, and implementation. He is a member of ASHRAE, GhIE, IET UK, and CIBSE UK, and holds an MSc in Building Services Engineering, focusing on sustainability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Known for his attention to detail, strong coordination, and excellent communication skills, he consistently delivers projects on time and to the highest standards
Mr Nana K Ohene-Adu

Our past president as a section, Mr. Nana Ohene Adu, served for the 2021/2022 ASHRAE year. He is the owner of Eco-Techmate Limited. With over 40 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, he has groomed many engineers in their career development.
